The role of Head of Investment Support for Prime will report to the Deputy COO of Prime and will be part of the COO of PRIME.
AXA IM Prime is AXA IM’s platform dedicated to private assets, offering investments in private equity, infrastructure, private debt, and hedge funds.
We offer diversified sources of returns in private markets, through primary, secondary, and co-investments, as well as NAV financing and minority stakes in asset management firms (GP stakes).
Through partnerships with leading fund managers, we design tailor-made investment solutions for institutional investors and wealth managers, fostering long-term sustainable growth.
AXA IM Prime manages +€40 billion of private assets under management, with more than €5 billion of new commitments expected annually over the next three years.

As Head of Investment Support for Prime, you will be responsible for managing the Investment Support team (5+ people) dedicated to Prime management expertise. This team plays a key role in supporting the investment management activities across AXA IM Prime’s private market strategies. It provides portfolio control services and management support in relation to middle/back office services, ensuring the accuracy of portfolio data, overseeing middle and back-office providers, coordinating fund launch activities, and contributing to strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and risk management. The team interacts with management as well as various other teams within AXA IM and external service providers.
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a hands-on, experienced manager to lead the Investment Support for Prime team. This person will oversee day-to-day operations, drive process optimization, manage projects related to fund launches or activity migrations, and serve as a key interface between front office, support functions, and external service providers. The manager is responsible for both team development and ensuring continuity of service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
As Manager, you will:
- Manage, coach, and support a team of experienced professionals
- Ensure effective workload allocation, resource planning, and skills development
- Represent the team in internal and external governance meetings
- Monitor and report on the team’s activity and service levels
- Ensure implementation and delivery of key projects, including:
- Automation of operational controls and reconciliations
- Optimization of invoice management processes
- Enhancement of AIFM regulatory reporting
- Contribution to firm-wide programs (e.g., Altitude, multi-asset integration)
- Extension of BAU operational coverage to new funds
- Ensure the quality, timeliness, and efficient delivery of operations, with a focus on continuous process optimization and improvements
- Take ownership of projects impacting the team (e.g., fund launches, new strategies, onboarding of new service providers, process handovers)
- Actively manage and participate in the resolution and escalation of operational incidents, ensuring root cause analysis and implementation of remediation plans
- Foster strong relationships with internal clients (investment teams, COO, Risk, Compliance) and external providers (custodians, fund administrators, accounting agents)
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and accountable work culture
Operational Scope of the Team
On behalf of the Investment Support for Prime team, you will oversee and contribute to the following activities, in close coordination with your team:
Portfolio Oversight & Fund Operations
- Review and validate Capital Account Statements (CAS)
- Perform independent NAV checks (official, technical, and estimated), including valuation controls, fee provisions, investor splits, and carried interest
- Coordinate production of Valuation Committee packs and record decisions
- Perform reconciliations between Front Office tools (eFront, Simcorp, Vidrio), accounting systems, and custodians
- Oversee management and control of fee invoices (management fees and other charges), expense budgets, and GP billing
- Validate annual GP financial statements
Risk, Audit & Compliance
- Support internal and external audits, risk reviews, and internal control certifications
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and risk mitigation plans
- Ensure adherence to escalation procedures and incident management
Reporting
- Produce and validate regulatory reports (AIFM, etc.)
- Support client due diligence and respond to operational queries from internal and external clients
- Provide input for KPI dashboards and service provider monitoring
Profil recherché
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Proven experience in managing operational teams within asset management, preferably with exposure to private markets or alternatives. Minimum 10–12 years of experience in fund operations, middle office or project delivery, ideally in private equity or asset management
- Strong understanding of middle/back office processes, fund accounting, NAV validation, and reporting.
- Familiarity with SimCorp, EFront, or similar front-to-back platforms; experience overseeing outsourced providers.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Process-oriented with an appetite for automation, documentation, and control enhancement.
- Ability to lead through change, manage priorities, and drive team performance.
- Hands-on approach with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Fluent in English; French is a plus.
